Guest Bedroom Oasis

A mid-century modern home in the Lake Forest neighborhood in Chapel Hill was in need of a guest bedroom in the basement. The window looks our into an atrium that is enclosed on all four sides with little access to natural light. Kory embraced the lack of natural light and went with a dark wall color to create a cozy retreat for overnight guests in the home. He left one unpainted wall with wood paneling unpainted as an accent wall. He selected a medium walnut bedroom set from Rove Concepts to fit in with the moody vibe and added light bedding and window treatments from West Elm to lighten the space.
